One organized study visit will take place during the course of the academic year. The tour to Poland includes visiting historical sites connected with Jewish life in Europe before and during the Second World War: synagogues, community centers, ghettoes, death camps and museums. The tour is formated as a joint seminar with local students and leading Polish scholars.
The tour also focuses on discussing the manner in which Holocaust memory has been shaped in the countries out students come from. Our ongoing discussion comparing Holocaust commemoration in various countries are continued in Israel during students' visits to central museums and memorial sites.
